Bildarchiv Kaprun Museum
Dieses Bildarchiv wird demnächst durch eine von der Gemeinde Kaprun betriebene Topothek ersetzt, in der Zwischenzeit wünschen wir Ihnen viel Freude beim Betrachten der Bilder von Oberlehrer Rauch, welcher in den 1920er und 30er Jahren in Kaprun gewirkt und das Leben und die Leute mit seiner Kamera verewigt hat.
Der Imbach stellte für Kaprun schon im 19. Jahrhundert eine Bedrohung dar. Jedes Jahr fand eine Imbachprozession statt, um ihn „gnädig zu stimmen“. Durch die Ausweitung des Ortes waren seine Vermurungen eine immer
größere Gefahr für Gebäude und Menschen. Gab es 1914 die letzte, eher leichte Vermurung, so traf es am 29. Juni 1931 um 19 Uhr den Ort mit voller Wucht. Am selben Abend trat auch der Winklerbach über seine Ufer und vermurte einen Teil des Winkldorfs und einige Wiesen. Das Ausmaß der Vermurung im Zuge des Hochwassers in Kaprun im Sommer 1931 war verehrend. Aussicht vom Schaufelberg aus. Links vom Bach das Haus Grießner mit den Busgaragen, heute Leder Ritsch.
