Bildarchiv Kaprun Museum
Dieses Bildarchiv wird demnächst durch eine von der Gemeinde Kaprun betriebene Topothek ersetzt, in der Zwischenzeit wünschen wir Ihnen viel Freude beim Betrachten der Bilder von Oberlehrer Rauch, welcher in den 1920er und 30er Jahren in Kaprun gewirkt und das Leben und die Leute mit seiner Kamera verewigt hat.
Arbeitsschritte zur Herstellung von Leinen aus Flachs beim Holzmeister. Frauen und Männer an den Brecheln, zum Brechen von Flachs. Die Stängel wurde erst auf dem Großbrechel und danach auf dem Feinbrechel fest durchgeschlagen. Die sogenannten Graten fielen ab. Der an einer Stange befestigte Brechlbuschen war ein mit Bändern und manchmal auch mit Zigaretten oder Zigarren geschmücktes Tannenbäumchen. Er war ein Zeichen dafür, dass der Platz besetzt war. Man musste aufpassen, denn es war Brauch, ihn zu stehlen.
