Bildarchiv Kaprun Museum
Dieses Bildarchiv wird demnächst durch eine von der Gemeinde Kaprun betriebene Topothek ersetzt, in der Zwischenzeit wünschen wir Ihnen viel Freude beim Betrachten der Bilder von Oberlehrer Rauch, welcher in den 1920er und 30er Jahren in Kaprun gewirkt und das Leben und die Leute mit seiner Kamera verewigt hat.
"Wir weben, wir weben!" Nachdem das Garn gesponnen war begann das Weben. Der Rahmen zum Webstuhl war in fast jedem Haus lagernd und wurde in einer Stubenecke in der Nähe eines hellen Fensters befestigt. Der Weber auf der Stör brachte nur das „Geschirr“ mit, das Herz der Maschine. Er knüpfte die Garnfäden an und zog sie mit einem Gehilfen auf („Anbäumen“). Danach strich er sie mit einem Kleiebrei schön glatt und begann zu weben, bis der 10 – 15 Meter lange Tuchstreifen ausgewebt war. Je nach Größe des Bauernhofes wurden mehrere solche Tuchstreifen fertig.
