Bildarchiv Kaprun Museum
Dieses Bildarchiv wird demnächst durch eine von der Gemeinde Kaprun betriebene Topothek ersetzt, in der Zwischenzeit wünschen wir Ihnen viel Freude beim Betrachten der Bilder von Oberlehrer Rauch, welcher in den 1920er und 30er Jahren in Kaprun gewirkt und das Leben und die Leute mit seiner Kamera verewigt hat.
Der Pinzgauer Zaun wurde auch Pinzgauer Girschten Zaun genannt. Girschten sind die schräg eingelegten Hölzer im Zaun. Früher hatten die Menschen meist keine Nägel oder ähnliches zur Verfügung. Deshalb entstand diese Art des Zaunes, um Vieh und Felder abzugrenzen. Dienstboten, die dieses Handwerk beherrschten, waren bei den Bauern sehr gefragt. Allein die Auffindung des richtigen Holzes erforderte Erfahrung, denn der Baum musste sich zum Spalten gut eignen. Hier sehen wir den Steinerbauern beim Spalten bzw. Kliabm (Klieben) des Holzes für den Pinzgauer Zaun. Das Holz wird mit Kliabhacke und Keilen waagrecht zum Kern aufgespalten. Der Junge hält den Schlägl in der Hand, mit dem er auf die Hacken schlägt, um das Holz zu kliaben, der Bauer hält einen Moment inne für das Foto.
